On the way from the airport we stopped for mcdonalds and when we came home Melodee his wife had just came home from her book club. Both of them are great and so easy to talk to. Their house is just beautiful and their 2 dogs, Oliver and Danny are my new besties. Their cat Kitty is more like a dog and just loves to be held and petted, definately my kind of cat. Here is a pick of the backyard, the pool and Oliver (brown) and Danny (white) just chilling. It´s a shame I didn´t have my bikini yet, sigh.
This morning Melodee took me to a grochery store where I could buy some necessities until my bag arrives. Additionally I bought some pepperjack yumyumyum. Afterwards Bob took me and two other vets for a tour in the clinic, which was amazing and everyone so friendly. Can´t wait to start on Monday. I was fascinated of the Bark Avenue Resort which is a doggy daycare where about 15 dogs play all day outside. They have a person supervising them all the time and it was just amazing to see them all run around so happy. Just made me wanna through myself in there and play as well.
Tonight we took a drive to the beach and went out for dinner with four other vets at the harbour. The sunset was stunning and made a red line just on top of the ocean.
Tomorrow there is a barbecue here for the staff and their families so it will be a full house. It will be nice to get to know people from the clinic a little better before I start on Monday. I just hope my bag will arrive, otherwise it is a trip to the mall for some new clothes. I am definately NOT wearing these clothes the 3rd day in a row. Don´t wanna get nicknamed mrs. smelly before I start at the clinic.
So far Oceanside gets only good reviews and I really feel like I hit the jackpot. Maybe it is the silver cape I was born in (that is supposed to bring you luck).
