A lovely weekend

The Veterinary Specialty Hospital that we went and saw on Friday was just spectacular. They had MRI, cancer therapy, stem cell transplants, kidney transplants, dialysis and everything you can possible imagine. The sky really was the limit. It was a great experience to get to tour the hospital. Maybe I will go there once before I leave for rounds with the interns.

In the evening on Friday there was a neighbourhood happy hour here in the street, where everyone brought some snacks and wine and just mingled. It was fun to meet some people from the street and everyone was extremely interested in a person from Iceland (The mean age was around 70 haha). One guy brought homemade beer which was made with maple syrup, it was delicious. Melodee made croissants with apple, honey, brie and pecans.

On Saturday morning I went to an outdoor mall and did a little shopping. The sales are in full swing so everything is super cheap. I allowed myself to buy two things for myself and then I bought this body for my sisters future son :D

In the evening, B&M took me and their son Griffin (who came home for the weekend) to a REAL Mexican restaurant, which was AMAZING.

I had a fahita

After we came home we watch Edward Scissorhands an old classic with Johny Depp.

On Sunday I took a walk in the morning with Melodee and the dogs after Griffin made us breakfast. He had to work for the new car he was getting.

Here is Griffin with his parents and his new sweet ride in front of the house.

Later that day me and B&M went to San Diego Safari Park.

Here is one of the workers introducing some kind of lizard or something, have no idea what it is haha

Timon and his buddy (meerkats) were taking a nap just beside the glass wall

Saw a silverback gorilla, who is way larger than me!

If you wanted you could take a airballoon over the park

Me and Bob, ready for the tram ride to Africa

Here are some rhinos and antelopes in the mountain. The park had one rhino of a particular rhino species , where only seven exist in the whole world! They have multiple breeding programs to try to save species that are about to become extinct but unfortunately there is only one male rhino there so the species will become extinct after that generation :(

The giraffes are always a pleasure to watch. You got to see them up close and personal while eating.

The view was so pretty in the park!

Grr, I am angry and I have rabies. Watch out!

Ended the day at Sammy´s, that had great food. Overall just a wonderful weekend :D
